Paul Mehling – Unlocking the Secrets of Gypsy Jazz Guitar
This workshop focuses on various aspects of Gypsy guitar in the tradition of Django Reinhardt. Topics include rhythm, picking, scales, arpeggios, chords, soloing, and more. One-on-one evaluation is available to all attendees, with a directed jam at the conclusion of the workshop (time permitting!). Bring your instrument, recording device (and/or paper and pencil) and questions!

Nick Grinder’s New-Old Quintet
Trombonist Nick Grinder returns to the Bay Area fresh off his first year of living in New York City, bringing two sets of new, original music with him. Nick grew up in Novato, CA, and is performing with close friends and fellow New York transplants Jill Ryan (sax) and Jordan Carrington (piano), as well as former Novatoan and East Coaster, drummer Nick De Ryss.
