Noah Garabedian’s Big Butter And The Egg Men

Bassist has already built an impressive resume as a sideman, having performed with Ravi Coltrane, Josh Roseman and Julian Pollack, among many others. Now Garabedian leads his own ensemble for the first time on the west coast. A sextet with a rollicking horn section that draws from Dixieland and Afrobeat, Big Butter and The Egg Men perform Garabedian’s originals, inspired by everything from Malian wassoulou music and Bach to Jamiroquai. Featuring Pat Carroll, alto sax; Hitomi Oba, tenor sax; Kyle Wilson, tenor sax; Raffi Garabedian, tenor sax; and Evan Hughes, drums.
