Nice Young Men

A high-energy musical collaboration of Bay Area natives Jon Hatamiya (trombone), Albert Baliwas (sax), Colin McDaniel (drums), Kevin Bernstein (piano) and John Snow (bass).
Before the age of 21, these five musicians have already compiled an impressive list of performance credits, including appearances with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, the Taylor Eigsti Trio, Dianne Reeves, Seamus Blake, Steve Wilson, and Ambrose Akinmusire, and have performed at venues such as the Monterey Jazz Festival, Yoshi’s Oakland and SF, the Jazz Standard, Staples Center, and the Hollywood Bowl. Drawing from influences in rock, R&B, funk, electronic music, and contemporary classical music, Nice Young Men present a highly original set of music in the traditional context of a jazz quintet.
